Decentralisation not possible in AP : Chandrababu
“Headquarters of all the departments will be located at one place and decentralization is not possible in the issue,” clarified Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu.
He spoke on the location of the AP capital in the state assembly.
He rubbished the news reports that using the agricultural land for the capital would lead to loss of farm output.
“Some persons have advised me to locate various offices at different places. If this is done, it will be difficult for any person to visit different places to get his work done in the event of his having work in more than one office. I am requesting the farmers to give their lands for the capital. All should cooperate for the same,” said the chief minister.
Chandrababu stressed the need to increase the traffic at the international airport in Visakhapatnam.
"Some persons asked an IIT in Visakhapatnam. One IIT was already sanctioned for the state. If we can get another IIT, we will take steps to form the same in Visakhapatnam. We will develop tourism in areas like Araku and Lambasingi in the state,” said Chandrababu.
