Debt-ridden farmer commits suicide
Kakinada: A tenant-farmer committed suicide by consuming pesticide in his paddy field at D Ravulapalem village in Allavaram mandal of East Godavari district on Thursday, police said.
K Satyanarayana (51) the deceased, had taken out a loan of Rs 4.5 lakh. He cultivated in a leased plot of five acres. Indebtedness and crop failure apparently led him to end his life, police said. He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
