Deadline Extended till Jan 30 for BRS, LRS

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has extended the deadline till January 31 to receive applications for Building Regularisation Scheme (BRS) and Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS).
Announcing the decision on Thursday, the GHMC said so far 62,750 BRS applications and 28,032 LRS applications were received. The Telangana state government announced the schemes on November 2 and set a deadline of 60 days to receive the applications. The applications had to be filed online only. However, due to technical glitches in the online filing the deadline has been extended till January 31. The extension is expected to net another 30 to 40, 000 applications.
