Day after attack on TDP, Pawan says he will not fight Chandrababu
A day after he storm-trooped to AP capital area supporting the cause of farmers who are unwilling to part with their lands, actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan appeared considerably mellowed down on Thursday.
He indicated that he was not prepared for a showdown with Chandrababu Naidu.
“I had hope in Chandrababu because he is an experienced leader. Hence I backed him in the elections,” he said.
He said there were some lacunae in the land pooling and that they should be corrected. He said that there was social unrest in the capital area. Pawan, who addressed a media confidence on Friday, he said that his intention was not to put the TDP to any trouble. But, should the capital be formed by making some farmers cry, he asked and suggested that the government talk to those who are opposing the proposals to give away lands.
“The government should spell out what it would do and how the compensation is given. When the formation of the capital will take over 20 years and why should the whole of 33000 acres be acquired in one go?” he asked.
In an attempt to show that he was not acting in cahoots with the BJP, he said the BJP had gone back on the issue of according special status to the Andhra Pradesh state. He said the BJP was now citing several reasons for not according special status. “In that case, why did the BJP agree for a special status?” he asked.
He had also not spelt out any future course of action. He did not also reveal if he was going to take up any agitation.
