Dattatreya depressed over Cabinet snub

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a shock to senior leader of BJP in Telangana Bandaru Dattatreya.

Dattatreya could not get a berth in the union cabinet which took oath on Tuesday.

He reached Delhi with the intention of getting a berth in the cabinet as he worked as a minister of state more than once in the earlier BJP governments.

Depressed Dattatreya brought the injustice meted out to him to the notice of senior leaders of the party. 

All expected that the Secunderabad MP will be elected into Narendra Modi’s cabinet. He won from Secunderabad parliamentary constituency with a big margin in the recent elections.

Infact, giving ticket to Dattatreya to contest from Secunderabad was objected by a few leaders in his party. BJP Telangana president Kishan Reddy tried his level best to contest from here. But, Dattatreya could get the ticket using his clout at the national leadership of the party in Delhi.

National leaders tried to console him, saying that his name would be considered during cabinet expansion next time.
