Dalits must be treated on par with others: Vijayamma

YSR Congress party honourary president, YS Vijayamma paid floral tribute to BR Ambedkar's statue on Thursday morning on the occasion of his 56th death anniversary.

Vijayamma offered flowers to the statue of the architect of the Indian Constitution, at the party office in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that although it's been ages since India got freedom, equality was yet to come. "It's important to treat the Dalits on par with others as Ambedkar envisioned", said Vijayamma. It's high time we made his vision a reality, she added.
