CRPF man arrested on rape charges in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A CRPF officer was arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly raping a 14 -year-old girl on Sunday. 

Mukesh Godra was arrested after a complaint was lodged at Chandrayangutta police station by the girl's family late on Sunday night.

The CRPF officer has been booked under IPC sections 376 (rape) and 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

The police officer said that they were awaiting medical reports of the girl and that of the accused.
