Teacher Rapes 6-Year-Old Girl In UP School Toilet, Held

BANDA: In a horrific incident, teacher of a private school in a village in Banda was arrested for raping a minor girl student on Saturday.

According to police, the incident happened under the jurisdiction of limits of Tindwari police which happened on Friday.

The teacher is a distant relative of the six-year-old girl. After classes, he asked her and her younger brother to stay back, so that he would give them tuition. Subsequently, he sent the girl's brother to a shop to buy toffees and allegedly raped her in the school toilet, police said.

When the girl's brother returned, he heard her sister's cries from the toilet. On knocking the door, the accused opened it and fled the spot. The girl later narrated her ordeal to her mother.

A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint from the girl's mother on Saturday. The girl has been sent for a medical examination.

The teacher has been booked under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO).
