Man In Sadhu’s Robe Found Dead With Eyes Gouged Out In UP

BANDA: A history-sheeter wearing a sadhu's attire was found dead with his eyes gouged out in an agricultural field in Budhauli village of Uttar Pradesh's Banda district on Sunday.

According to circle officer Kuldeep Singh, the man has been identified as Krishna Kumar alias Lala and his post-mortem report confirmed that he was strangled to death. There were deep wound marks.

Police said that Lala was living with other sadhus in a Durga temple in the village for the past few months. He was found dead with his hands and legs tied on Sunday, Baberu Kotwali station house officer Shashi Kumar Pandey told a news agency.

He had five criminal cases registered against him.

Three persons living with him have been taken into custody for further interrogation.
