Man Rapes Mentally Retarded Girl, Arrested

A man was arrested for allegedly raping a mentally retarded woman in Rahmatnagar area on Thursday. As per reports, a woman was living with her mentally retarded daughter in Rahamatnagar area and taking care of her.

Pallakonda Veeraswamy (38), a native of Redlavada of Nekkonda Mandal in Warangal district, has been living as a tenant in her house for the past three months. He has a wife and three children and works as a daily wage labourer. Later, he got separated from them and was living alone.

On 15th August, the woman went to her brother's house to celebrate Raksha Bandhan and left her daughter alone at home. Finding the girl alone, Veeraswamy raped her and threatened to kill her if she told others about it. The woman who returned home, noticed it and complained to local police with the help of local residents. The local police filed a case under relevant sections and arrested the accused within 24 hours. The victim has been sent to a local government hospital for medical examination.
