Con Man Duping Government Officials Nabbed In Siddipet

Hyderabad: Task Force sleuths arrested a con man on Saturday who posed as an official in the chief minister’s office and was duping a man. He was arrested red-handed when he was collecting Rs 55,000 from a sub-registrar of Siddipet district, according to a leading daily.

The accused have been identified as Rayabandi Surya Prakash Chary. Police said that there is already 11 cases that are pending against him.

According to police, he called up the sub-registrar claiming he is organising a poor feeding programme for those who fought for Telangana and asked him to transfer Rs 1 lakh for the purpose.

Sensing con, the sub-registrar called up the CMO office and realised that he was a fraudster.

Chary has been duping government officials since 2009.
