Triple Talaq In 24 Hours For Dowry

Barabanki (UP): A groom from UP had allegedly given Triple Talaq to his newly-wed wife. How new you might ask. Well the Muslim form of divorce was given to the lady not more than 24 hours after the wedding.

The reason behind this was that he did not get a bike as promised in the dowry. The parents of the girl also had a similar statement to make. They said that they could not give their new son-in-law a bike as promised and so the Triple Talaq was done. Although the parents had agreed to giving into his previous demands.

The Police arrested the man. In a similar incident, a man gave his wife, triple talaq just because she asked him for Rs 30 to buy vegetables. Her husband Sabir (32) had also apparently hit her and then gave triple talaq. The incident came to light on Saturday in Dadri at Uttar Pradesh's Noida region.
