Four Of A Family Attempts Suicide In Amberpet, Two Die

Hyderabad: In what appears to be another Burari-type murder case where 11 members of the family committed suicide, four persons of a family hailing from Punjab allegedly attempted to commit suicide on Thursday at DD colony in Amberpet.

According to reports, the family had cool drink laced with sleeping pills. The four have been identified as Pawan (65) and his Neelam (55) who are dead, while other two Mannu (34) and Nikhil (30) are struggling for their lives.

Locals raised alarm and called the police. The bodies were taken to Andhra Mahila Sabha Hospital, according to a leading daily.

The exact reason is yet to be ascertained. Police has registered a case in the incident.
