Man Posts Suicide Pictures On Facebook

Hyderabad: An ex-school principal committed suicide and live streamed it on Facebook in Harsh Nagar on Sisarma road in Udaipur city. Manohar Singh Rajput (55) hanged himself from the ceiling of his home and posted pictures on his Facebook page just before committing suicide. He was posted at Dhar senior secondary school.

According to Udaipur SP Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, Singh had left behind a suicide note alleging that a woman from Kota forced him to take the extreme step. Reportedly, the woman had taken a large sum from him. He has also posted the picture and contact details of the woman on his Facebook wall.

"We will investigate in depth about the relationship between the deceased and the woman and find if she had abetted him for suicide" the officer said.

Police said that the school principal was tired of living a lonely life and had advertised inviting matrimonial alliances for self. Neha Sharma, a resident of Santosh Nagar in Kota responded to the advertisement and both had met. The woman reportedly came to Udaipur to meet Manohar and even lived with him for some days. She was in need of money and Manohar borrowed a large amount from his colleagues and gave it to the woman.

Police said that Manohar had taken Rs 40 lakh from different people and when they pressurised him to return their amount, the principal asked the woman to repay. She gave him a cheque which got dishonoured and this caused him much stress.

He had shared the incident to his friends and before committing suicide posted the pictures on Facebook and also shared with his friends.

Ambamata police has registered a case and investigation is underway.
