Son Leaves Behind Chilling WhatsApp Message To Parents Before Committing Suicide

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly committed suicide after sending his parents an emotional WhatsApp message that read, "Sorry mummy papa. Please forgive me. My dead body would be under the ITO Bridge."

Harsh Khandelwal, 23, lived in Chandni Chowk and worked as a delivery person for an online firm. His body was found three days his alleged suicide in Yamuna river in Delhi.

According to his parents, he went out with six of his friends to attend the birthday of a friend's wife to Murthal on June 30. On July 1, his parents and close relatives got a message that read, "Sorry mummy papa. Please forgive me. My scooter, purse and other things would be at ITO flyover and my body would be under the ITO Bridge."

They went searching and found his belongings near ITO bridge.

The family then lodged a missing persons complaint at the Indraprastha Estate police station. However, the family alleged that the police had shown apathy towards their complaint at that time.

However, on July 3 at around 3 pm, some rag-pickers saw the body and informed the police who later recovered it and handed it over to the family.

The family has alleged it to be a murder case. They said they had a word with Harsh on July 1 morning and he has said that he will be back home soon, and after hanging up in a few minutes they got the message.

Meanwhile, police probe is underway the case.
