Indigo Staffer Stalked, Harassed By Drunk Men Near Shamshabad
Hyderabad: A crew working with Indigo airlines was stalked, harassed by drunk men on Friday night near Shamshabad after she was coming back from work.
Around 11.30 pm on Friday, after the 25-year-old woman's work was over, she boarded a cab at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport to reach home.
However, she did halt the cab near her home, rather disembarked a few metres away. While walking back home through a by-lane, three young men followed her and started teasing her. The scared working woman screamed and in that moment the trio fled. Apparently, the men even threw alcohol on the woman, but the RGI airport police called it a rumour and said nothing of such sort happened.
The woman immediately called her friend, and later went to RGIA police station and lodged a complaint late night.
Investigation begun, but the police did not find any clue as the CCTV cameras in the area were not working. It may also be cited that most CCTV cameras in the city are not maintained well and does not work.
Police claimed that the CCTV cameras were not working as there was power outage when the incident took place.
Efforts are on to trace the accused who are at large, police said.
A case of stalking has been registered.
