Moral Policing Turns Deadly: Youngster Killed For Questioning Couple’s PDA

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old man succumbed to death on Saturday while undergoing treatment, two days after he was assaulted by a rowdy sheeter at Necklace Road in the city.
Going into the details, the victim, identified as Sai Sagar, hailing from Dhoolpet was severely injured in the attack. Sai, who along with his two friends Mahesh and Balakrishna had gone to Necklace Road to celebrate his birthday on Wednesday night. Around 3 am on Thursday, on their way home after the celebration, the trio spotted a man consuming liquor and was reportedly being intimate with his girlfriend.
The trio then made some comments following which the man, identified as Kabeer Khan alias Junaid abused them, which led to an altercation between all of them. In a fit of rage, Junaid attacked Sai with a stone, resulting in a severe head injury. While Sai was rushed to a private hospital immediately and later shifted to Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment but he died while undergoing treatment.
The Ramgopalpet police registered a case under Section 302 (murder) and other Sections of IPC against Junaid and he was arrested. The accused is a rowdy-sheeter from Miryalguda and has 16 criminal cases registered against him.
