Authorities Crack A Whip On Schools For Flouting Norms

Vijayawada: As schools reopened on Wednesday, Education department officials are cracking a whip on errant school managements.

In a latest incident, authorities on Wednesday sealed a Narayana School in Satyanarayanapuram in Vijayawada for flouting essential norms. Officials said the school was functioning without any form of government recognition and did not respond even after being served notices three times. The school authorities were ordered to pay a penalty of Rs 1 lakh.

The Education department under the new government has already promised to bring about a sea change in the education sector. The first Cabinet meet has resolved to set up a regulatory committee to cleanse the system of inefficacy and corruption.
