TV9 Ravi Prakash Sold Logos To Mojo TV For Just Rs 99K?
Hyderabad: TV9 former CEO V Ravi Prakash who is still on the run after cases of forgery and cheating were foisted on him on May 9, will now have to face another complaint filed by Alanda Media & Entertainments Private Limited (AMEPL) on Thursday.
The police registered a case after AMEPL director Kaushik Rao filed a complaint that Ravi Prakash had sold six logos, including the TV 9 Channel logo belonging to the Associated Broad Casting Private Ltd (ABCL), allegedly to his own channel Mojo TV.
He said that V Ravi Prakash and MVKN Murthy had sold the TV 9 logo to Mojo TV proprietary firm Media Next India Pvt Ltd for Rs 99,000. It was reported that he had sold the logo and transferred the rights through a deed document on December 31st.
Kaushik Rao said that the money was transferred from Media Next India Pvt Ltd to ABCPL for Rs 99,000 but the money was referred to as 'Other Repairs and Maintenance' in the accounts.
Kaushik Rao stated that the accused transferred the valuable copyrights and trademarks of the company for paltry sum and on a false consideration, which was against the company's interest and welfare. He said that this was done with a deliberate intention to cause loss to the firm and its shareholders.
It is reported that on May 11, Ravi Prakash left his car at Mojo News channel office in Banjara Hills and got into a separate car and went towards Vijayawada. Telangana Police believe that V Ravi Prakash is hiding there with the support of some 'big wigs'. '' We have seized his passport and he has no chance of leaving the country,'' a senior police official said.
