Man Beaten To Death With Iron Rods In Garividi
Garividi, Vizianagaram: A man was brutally murdered at Garividi in Vizianagaram district on Saturday night. The deceased identified as Thammina Chinnababu (55) was beaten to death with iron rods by unidentified miscreants. As per Garividi Police, Chinnababu was living with his wife Vijayalakshmi, daughters Mounika and Sushmitha. At around one 'o'clock in the night , there was a power failure and Chinnababu went on to the terrace to check what happened. He was suddenly attacked by miscreants who beat him with iron rods. As he started screaming, his family came up to check on him and they were attacked. Fearing for their lives, they rushed back to the house and shut the doors. The assailants came down and started banging the doors and unable to break the doors they fled from there.
After they left, his family rushed to the terrace and found Chinnababu lying dead on the floor. Bobbili DSP Goutamisaali, CI Rajulanayudu, SI P Narayana Rao rushed to the spot and reviewed the scene of crime. The CLUES team were also called in to gather evidence. Based on the deceased's wife Vijayalakshmi's complaint the police have started investigating. It seemed that power supply was deliberately cut off. Meanwhile Vijayalakshmi in her complaint alleged that her son-in-law Ramesh Pandey was the one who had killed her husband. She said that her elder daughter Mounika had gone to Kakinada for higher studies. There she met Ramesh Pandey who hailed from Uttar Pradesh and was working in a hotel there. They fell in love and her parents' got her married to him. But he started harassing Mounika and unable to bear his harassment she came back to her parents place in Garividi.
Vijayalakshmi informed the police that he started harassing the family members and they had also complained to the police about his harassment. Vijayalakshmi also alleged that Ramesh Pandey had hired contract killers to murder her husband out of revenge.
