Hyderabad:Just days after busting an international human trafficking racket, the Cyberabad police arrested two people including an immigrations officer on Thursday.

A total of 18 people were taken into custody including two employees from different airlines and a constable on March 20. This had come to light after 70 people had attempted to enter into Kuwait with tampered visas.

The nabbed individuals were identified as Manzoor Khan (49) an immigration officer and Head Constable in Mahbubnagar district along with Penigilapati Anjaneyulu Naidu (52), a travel agent from Mumbai.

The police say that Manzoor was on central deputation from Mahbubnagar police station to bureau of immigration. The two accused were said to have taken huge sums of money to help some travelers get visas without papers or documents. This has been happening for over two years now.

Naidu was running a Protector of Emigrants (POE) and a registered license travel agency, Sairam Travels, in Mumbai. It is learned that the accused would courier their passports to the Kuwait embassy in Mumbai and they would have it stamped without POE clearance.

After the process, the passports would be sent back to Hyderabad. The police seized 10 different passports
