PUBG Addiction: Jalandhar Boy Steals From Father For Skins
PUBG Mobile is definitely not a favourite among the Indian mobile gaming market. In a recent event, a theft in connection with the game has surfaced in Jalandhar. A 15-year-old boy reportedly stole Rs 50,000 from his father's account to purchase PUBG skins and gaming accessories.
As per the details, the boy stole the amount to purchase a gaming pad for mobile along with some other PUBG Mobile skins. His father, a bike mechanic, found the amount debited from his account and assuming it to be a theft, he reported it to the police.
He mentioned to the police of not receiving any OTP nor any transaction messages from his bank for the amount debited from his account.
Once the Cyber Cell probed into the issue, the details about the transaction were revealed. The money was found to be transferred to a Paytm account and was used to buy PUBG accessories.
Upon investigating further, the officials found out the man's 15-year-old son had transferred the amount to a Paytm account of his friend and deleted the OTP message from his father’s phone. With the boy confessing to the crime, his father dropped the charges.
