Former TTD Employee Held For Job Fraud
Hyderabad: Following a series of complaints filed by job aspirants who were duped by a former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam employee, the Hyderabad city task force police apprehended him on Tuesday.
Hailing from Khammam district, the accused, Perumalla Ramesh, 28 duped 40 job aspirants on the pretext of providing jobs in the TTD, Singareni Collieries, and Yadagirigutta Devasthanam after collecting money from them.
According to the police, Ramesh, who resides at Tarnaka with his wife, discontinued his education after intermediate and joined TTD as a systems operator in Karimnagar in 2015. During his work period, Ramesh cheated several youngsters by taking money from them on the pretext of providing jobs such as data entry operators, store operations in-charge and attendants. Complaints received by Hyderabad and Karimnagar police, also revealed that he duped devotees by taking money to book tickets for prayers at Tirumala.
The accused is learned to have been terminated from the TTD service last year and was under immense pressure for the last five months to repay the money collected from the victims.
Based on a tip-off, Hyderabad Task Force Central Zone personnel apprehended Ramesh and handed him over to Bowenpally police.
