ACB Catches E Nagaraju For Demanding And Accepting A Bribe
Hyderabad: A government servant from Telangana was caught by the Anti Corruption Bureau for taking advantage and allegedly demanding money for an appointment from a widowed lady.
E Nagaraju, working as the section officer in the Panchayat Raj and rural development department at the secretariat was caught redhanded at 2:20 pm at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus-station in Imlibun, by the ACB, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000 from G Nagalaxmi, a resident of Sriramapuram, Dammapet, Bhadradri Kothagudem, whose husband V Malleswar Rao passed away.
The official demanded Rs 60,000 from the widowed lady to grant her the job of an attender in the panchayat Raj department. He was also tested positive in the chemical test, it is learned. The ACB officials added that the accused has been arrested and will be presented before the ACB Court.
