Woman Allegedly Gang-Raped, Abandoned On Highway In Andhra Pradesh

Nellore: A woman was kidnapped near a railway station in Nellore district on Sunday and was allegedly gang-raped by four men.

According to the police, the woman was with a friend on Sunday night when the four men beat up her friend and took her away. Her friend, immediately approached the police following which a search operation was launched.

The woman, who works at a mobile phone unit in Sri City was found abandoned on the highway on Monday morning.

The woman filed a complaint at the police station and stated in her statement that she was gang-raped by two of the men. A case has been registered and the police have launched a manhunt for the accused.
