Four Of A Family Die Of Electrocution In Srikakulam

Srikakulam: Four persons were killed in Kotharoutupeta of Laveru mandal on Sunday after coming in contact with a high tension electric wire.

The deceased were identified as Komma Venkanna, (50), Abotula Ramulu (55), Abotula Punyavati (45) and Routu Bangaramma (45). All of them belonged to the same family and were residents of Kotharoutupeta.

The incident took place on the outskirts of the village when they were cutting banana leaves in an orchard to use during a marriage function. While cutting the banana plantation, the four of them came in contact with an electric wire due to which they were electrocuted.

The police are investigating the case.
