Fire Breaks Out At Rice Mill In Anaparthy
Anaparthy: A fire mishap took place in Gala Suryasri Rice Mill in Koppavaram village on Tuesday where two persons were critically injured and two others suffered minor injuries.
According to the Anaparthy Fire Department, Nagaraju, Gangadhar, Pruthviraj and Srinulu worked as contract weldors in the rice mill. While Gangadhar, Pruthviraj worked on the iron pipes of the godown, Srinu and Nagaraju assisted them.
While the welding works were taking place, the sparks fell on some grain bags at the bottom floor and fire broke out, as a result.
Not knowing how to get out of the fire, Gangadhar and Prithviraj jumped from the top floor. Both of them suffered heavy burn injuries while Srinu and Nagaraju survived with minor injuries. Firefighters reached the spot and detained the fire. All the injured were rushed to the social health centre and were later shifted to the Kakinada government hospital. Anaparthy CI P Srinivas and SI Rajanikumar had visited the incident spot and also met the victims.
A case has been registered in this regard and the investigation has begun.
