Sri Chaitanya Student Found Dead In Hostel Room

Hemanth Naidu on Thursday committed suicide  in his hostel room - Sakshi Post

Visakhapatnam: An Intermediate first year student from Sri Chaitanya College near Marikavalasa in Visakhapatnam has committed suicide on Thursday. The student has been identified as Hemanth Naidu who recently had visited home in Bayapu Reddy Palem for Sankranthi holidays.

Having returned to the hostel, Hemanth Naidu on Thursday committed suicide under mysterious circumstances in his room.

Hemanth stayed with six others in the hostel room. The hostel warden in the early hours of Friday found him hanging from the ceiling. While he was rushed to the KGH hospital, but the doctors declared him brought dead.

According to his friends and college staff, Hemanth had lost Rs 14,000 worth mobile phone of his roommate who asked him to pay the money following which an argument ensued. The matter even reached the college management. The police suspect that these circumstances might have led him to take the extreme step.

Hemanth's parents, meanwhile stated that they received a call from the college management that their son was in a serious condition. However, as they reached Visakhapatnam, the management informed them that Hemanth had passed away. The parents asserted that there was nothing bothering Hemanth to take the step of suicide and expressed suspicion on the college authorities. They demanded the police to investigate further.
