ECIL College Lecturer Seeks Sexual Favours From Student, Booked

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old girl filed a complaint against her lecturer for harassing her for sex. According to the police, the accused B Sagar is a resident of Kushaiguda working as a lecturer in a college. The victim was his student from Neredmet, pursuing her graduation in ECIL. On Wednesday, she filed a complaint with the police that Sagar (29) had been harassing her from two months.

She claimed that Sagar was continuously seeking sexual favours from her and also asking her to send nude pictures of her. He also sent obscene videos to her mobile number to fulfil his sexual desire and commented on her physical appearance.

A Narasimha Swamy, Neredmet inspector said "Based on the victim's complaint, we have filed a case against the accused under the sections of 354 D and 354 A of the IPC."

Recently, in a similar incident, A 17-year-old girl alleged rape by her accounts tutor at knife point. The police registered a case based on the complaint lodged by the victim's mother.

The class 12 student took tuitions in accounts from Yogendra Vashisth. After the incident, the victim apparently locked herself in her room for more than a month and appeared to be under tremendous stress. Police said that the victim later told her mother about her ordeal. "On November 13, the accused called the victim on the pretext of giving her special notes and sexually assaulted her at knife point. The accused also filmed her secret video and started blackmailing her," read the complaint. "The victim stopped taking tuition's from November 23.

Later, on December 25, the victim narrated the incident to her mother. We have registered a case under relevant sections of rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012," a senior police officer said. The accused is absconding but will be arrested soon, the officer added. (IANS)
