Man Impregnates Wife’s Friend, Arrested

Chennai: The police on Sunday arrested Silambaran, a 22-year-old who impregnated his wife's friend after offering her a cool drink mixed with sedatives. Silambaran, a native of Uthukota in Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu, was married to Sharmila of Kilikodi village of Kavarapeta three years ago. They have a one-year-old son and are living in Kilikodi.

Meanwhile, when a friend of Silambaran's wife visited their house when his wife was away, he offered her the spiked cool drink. Later, he raped her while shooting the incident in a mobile phone.

Following his crime, Silambaran demanded sexual favours from her by threatening to circulate the video. Recently, on December 21, she gave birth to a male child in Ponneri hospital.

A complaint was filed in Gummidipundi women's police station before Silambaran was arrested.
