Malakpet: After killing his sister, man later filed a complaint in the police station that she went missing. The incident came to light on Thursday at East Prashant Nagar in Moosarambagh division. Siddhartha strangled his sister, Siva Nandini to death over property distribution issues. According to Inspector KV Subba Rao, Konapuram Maisaiah retired as a bank official.

He lives with his wife Nirmala, daughters, Siva Nandini (38), Archana and son Siddhartha alias Siddhu. Siva Nandini was married to Devendra Nath from Warangal in 2004. Archana lives in Bengaluru along with her husband. Siddhartha works in Irrigation department as AE, is married and has two daughters.

Devendra Nath lived with his wife Siva Nandini and their son Brijinil at Sainik Puri. Due to differences between the couple, they were divorced in 2017. Later, Siva Nandini and her son started to live along with her parents at East Prashanth Nagar. She had been pressurizing her parents from quite some time demanding a share in the open flat at Vanasthalipuram and the house in East Prashanth Nagar.

But Siddhartha appeared to be dissatisfied with the property distribution according to his sister's terms. He therefore, hatched a plan to kill her. Accordingly, on December 17, he attacked his sister with the help of his parents. Their mother Nirmala helped Siddhartha to strangle Siva Nandini.

After her death, she was dragged into the bathroom and Siddhartha removed her clothes and also poured bathroom cleaning solution (Harpic) on her face.

After that he went to the police station on Wednesday and filed a complaint stating that his sister had gone missing. On Thursday morning, he informed police that his sister died while taking bath. The police reached the spot along with the clues team and collected the details. The police suspected Siddhartha when the police dogs went straight towards him. The police took him into custody and confessed his crime in the interrogation.

The accused Siddhartha and Nirmala were produced before the court and sent to remand. Maisaiah is yet to be arrested and will be apprehended after the final rites of Siva Nandini, said the police.
