Coimbatore Man Kills Daughters After Argument With Wife
Tamilnadu: In a ghastly incident, a man killed his own daughters after a fight with his wife. The incident took place in the limits of Singanallur police station on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Hemavarshini (15) and Sreeja (8) who were pursuing their studies in a nearby school.
The couple were reportedly having differences over some years and used to argue frequently. On Thursday night, they had an argument after which Selvarani went to her parents' house to sleep after a fight, leaving the children with her husband.
Next day morning, when she came back home, she found the children lying dead. A shocked Selvarani informed police who came to the spot and started an inquiry and questioned her and the locals.
Speaking to the media, one of the police officials from Singanallur police station said that the accused Padmanabhan was in a intoxicated state on Thursday night after the argument with his wife. "While going to her parent's house, Selvarani had asked the children to go with her but they refused and decided to stay along with their father. After the investigation, we believe that the children died due to the suffocation, he said.
Padmanabhan, a private employee at Coimbatore is currently absconding and a police hunt is on to nab him. They also filed a murder case against him under the IPC 302. Later, the bodies were sent to Coimbatore government hospital for autopsy.
