Borabanda Barber Gets Three Years RI For Theft
Hyderabad: A 19-year-old man was sentenced to three years of imprisonment by the court on Monday for stealing two smartphones. The incident had taken place in April, 2018 at Borabanda. The accused was a habitual offender who had earlier committed several robberies, the court awarded three years of imprisonment as the accused had not mended his ways.
Kalluri Mahesh is a barber who lived at Peddamma Nagar, Borabanda. On April 21, the police received a complaint from P Srinivas (40), a Rajiv Gandhi Nagar resident in Borabanda. In his complaint, on April 20, Srinivas was sleeping in his house when a thief entered the house as the doors were open.
The next day, Srinivas found that his two mobiles had gone missing from his living room. Based on his complaint, the police filed a case and the investigation was started.
On April 22, the accused Kalluri Mahesh was arrested and was sent to judicial custody for remand. On Monday, following the evidence, the Nampally criminal court judge sentenced him to three years of rigorous imprisonment.
