Meerut Man Shoots Father Dead After Being Slapped

Meerut: In a shocking case of patricide, a 25 year-old man reportedly shot his father dead in the wee hours of Friday, after the latter, during the course of an argument, slapped him for his negligence towards their family business in the Ahmednagar locality of Meerut city. According to Lisadi police, Faizur Rehman (60) admonished his son Saquib and slapped him, following an argument between the two.

A furious Saquib, allegedly woke up his sleeping father and shot him dead. Faizur Rehman's family members tried to bury his body quietly, but police, who were tipped off, exhumed it. Subsequently, the cops sent the body for post-mortem. While Saquib is learnt to be on the run, three of his brothers have been arrested by the police.
