A woman committed suicide after killing her daughter under the limits of Chilakalaguda police station limits. The police filed a case of suspicious death.

Chilakalaguda: A woman committed suicide after killing her daughter under the limits of Chilakalaguda police station limits. The police filed a case of suspicious death and started probing.

According to the police, Aarti and Siddhartha from Secunderabad fell in love and got married. They had a daughter Tashi (7). Siddhartha, who used to run an online business died due to a heart attack. Aarti was mentally depressed after the death of her husband. Her mother requested her to come back to them but she denied saying that her husband's spirit is in her house. She always would ask her in-laws if they would take care of her daughter is something were to happen to her.

Meanwhile, 10 days ago she had ordered a Nitrogen cylinder through online. When her family members asked her repeatedly about the cylinder, she said that it was ordered by her friend. When she was alone with her daughter on Friday morning, she applied a polythene cover to Tashi's face and sent nitrogen gas to the cover with a pipe which led to her daughter's death. After killing her daughter, she applied the same method to commit suicide.

The family members reached home and found Aarti and Tashi dead. They immediately informed the police who reached the spot and sent the bodies to Gandhi hospital for postmortem.

It is learnt that there is ongoing dispute with respect to a piece of land which is in front of their house, which is in the name of her deceased husband, Siddhartha. The police are probing whether the child'd killing and the mother's subsequent suicide are related to this in any way.

The family members and the relatives of Aarti attacked the media when they tried to cover the incident. They took away the cameras and mobiles and locked the media people in a room. The media persons expressed their dissatisfaction with the police for not being responsive in the incident. The relatives maintained that they requested the media not to telecast the suicide note.
