IT Raid Drives Man To Suicide

Penamaluru: Market Ex Director Mohammed Sadik (46) has committed suicide. Hailing form the Kanur village of Krishna district, he owns a lorry body-building shed in the local auto nagar . According to the family, his shed was raided by income tax officials who levied a fine of Rs 50 lakhs.

Later, they even asked for a certain amount of money and also added that Sadik went out on Sunday morining on the pretext of offering prayers and never came back. After they lodged a complaint, police conducted a search and found him dead near the Karuvu canal near Thotavallur.

Police said a case has been registered as death under suspicious conditions.
