Hyderabad Teenager Kills Model In Mumbai, Arrested
Mumbai: In a shocking discovery, a body of an aspiring model was found in a suitcase in a western Mumbai suburb of Malad here today. According to the police, who had traced the accused, Muzammil Sayyed, a 19-year-old student from Hyderabad, dumped the suitcase stuffed with the body of Mansi Dixit (20), who is believed to be a native of Kota, Rajasthan.
The police were alerted by a tip-off from an auto-rickshaw driver, who was suspicious of Sayyed after observing his dumping the suitcase.
Sayyed, who lives in Millat Nagar in Andheri (West) in the city, was caught by the police within hours of the murder with the help of CCTV footage. The accused confessed to killing Mansi unintentionally during a verbal spat, said the police. Mansi suffered serious injuries after being hit with a hard object, it is believed.
The auto rickshaw driver informed the police after dropping Sayyed on the road leading to Malad. The driver got suspicious after the suitcase was thrown away by Sayyed before trying to escape. A case was filed and investigation is on.
