Man Cuts Off Friend’s Head, Takes It To Police Station

Karnataka: A quarrel turned violent as a man chopped off the head of his friend, Girish (28) in Mandya district in the State. In what turned out to be the third such incident in the State over the past few days, the man, Pashupati, beheaded Girish's head in a quarrel over objectionable comments on the former's mother. After the incident, Girish took the head and surrendered in the local police station.

The victim was killed at Chikkabagilu village in the district during a petty quarrel, district SP Shiva Prakash said. "The accused confessed to having killed Girish over a petty issue. Investigation is on," he added.

Last week, Azeez Saddam of Chikkaballapur district chopped his wife's head on suspicion of adultery and surrendered at the local police station. Another woman was beheaded by her husband in Chickmagalur district over an alleged extra-marital relationship.
