Newly-Wed Gang Raped By Husband, Relatives
New Delhi: A newly married woman was allegedly gang-raped by her in-law's relatives. The incident took place under the police station limits of Kurukshetra. According to the police, Mukesh and the victim got married on September 12, 2018. After the marriage, Mukesh gave her a glass of milk mixed with powerful sleeping pills. After the victim fell unconscious, her husband and his relatives raped her. It is learned that the woman escaped from the place after undergoing trauma for two days.
The victim along with her father filed a complaint in the local police station. The case was shifted to Kurukshetra ladies police station and an FIR was registered, said the police. The victim was shifted to hospital. But the police have not arrested the accused till now.
Similarly, a 26-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by her neighbour at gunpoint when she was alone in her house in a village in Shamli district, police said on Saturday. Circle Officer Rajesh Kumar Tiwari said the incident occurred at Jandheri village under Kairana Police Station Friday.
According to complaint lodged by the victim's husband, their neighbour, Gaurav Kumar, 27, entered the house in his absence and raped her at gunpoint, the CO said. Kumar threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed about the incident to anyone. She later narrated the incident to her husband, he said.
A case was registered against the accused who was on the run and the woman was sent for medical examination.
