Man Attempts Suicide After Murder Attempt On Married Woman 

Algunur: A man tried to kill a married woman and later attempted suicide. The incident took place on Friday at Alganur, Timmapur, Karimnagar district.

According to the police, Kavitha and Ganesh, a married couple stayed close to the accused, Rajesh's house. Kavitha moved closely with Rajesh since he was mute. Rajesh took advantage of the woman and started harassing her. Three months ago, Kavitha and her husband Ganesh moved to a new house.

On Friday, Rajesh came to Kavitha's house and attacked her with a blade. When the victim started screaming, a scared Rajesh slit his throat too. The locals arrived and shifted them to Karimnagar hospital. They were out of danger and are expected to recover soon, said doctors. Rajesh's sister alleged that her brother was harassed by Kavitha and sexually exploited by her. She also added that Kavitha used to take his pension.

It is learned that Kavitha and Rajesh had been intimate for some time. According to the locals, Ganesh learned of the matter and moved to a new locality. Meanwhile, Rajesh was unable to meet Kavitha as often as he wanted and went to her house on Friday. When Kavitha advised him to leave the house, an enraged Rajesh attacked her. The police started investigating the matter.
