Chennai Man Held For Demanding Dowry, Threatening To Leak Obscene Videos Of Wife

Chennai: A woman was threatened by her husband, of all the people, saying he would post her obscene videos on social media. The incident took place at Anna Nagar, Chennai. The police filed a case against the victim's in-laws including her husband. The victim's father Sangam Sheikh Douth lives is a Uganda-based businessman.

Sheikh's daughter Sangam Hashmi was married to married to Allauddin Aasik, of Alagappan Nagar in Madurai in January. He was given gold and a car as dowry at the time of the marriage. Later, his father-in-law, Sangam Sheik Daut also transferred Rs 25 lakh to Allauddin Aasik to start a business.

Allauddin was unsatisfied with dowry and started harassing her wife to bring more cash. He also videographed the obscene videos of her and threatened her to telcast them on social media. Depressed Hasmi goes to Uganda and informs her parents about the matter. Mubarak Ahmed, brother of Sangam Sheik Daut lodged a complaint on Thursday in Madurai police station. The police filed cases against Allauddin Aasik (28), his father Allauddin (62), his mother Zeenat (50) and his brother Jalaavat (37). A probe is on.
