Boy Dead, Girl Injured After Khammam Minors Jump Off Building  

Khammam: Two minors attempted suicide together on Sunday at Palwancha in Khammam. According to the locals, Manikanta (17) is pursuing a diploma course, while the girl is in 10th standard. They both became friends and later got attracted to each other.

The girl's family learned of the matter and her father warned the girl to mend her ways. She told the boy that her family frowned on their relationship and the two promptly decided to end their lives.

On Sunday evening, they both jumped from a three floor building which is under construction at Contractors colony. They were rushed with serious injuries to the hospital. The boy Manikanta, died of a serious head injury, while the girl is in a critical state with serious head injuries and fractures of lower limbs. The police are probing the incident.

Similarly, some time ago, a couple committed suicide in a hotel of Guntur district, Tenali. They were identified as Sai Divya (24) and Prudhvi Raj (30). The management suspected something amiss when the couple did not step out of their room for two days.

According to the police, Sai Divya completed her B.tech and was preparing for competitive exams. She used to come to Vijayawada regularly for bank coaching. Meanwhile, she came in contact with Prudhvi Raj, an auto driver of Chitti Nagar with whom she fell in love. The family members of Sai Divya filed a missing case in Eluru police station on the 9th September.

Prudhviraj had rented a hotel and when the couple didn’t emerge from their room for two days, hotel staff who found them hanging from a fan, informed in Gandhechauk. the Eluru police. The cops identified the duo based on the call data records in their call phones. It is learnt that Prudhviraj is married and a father of two children.
