Separated From Wife, Man Commits Suicide

Hyderabad: Unable to bear separation from his wife, a man committed suicide. It is learnt that his his in-laws separated the couple and took his wife away. The incident took place in the Santosh Nagar police station limits, Hyderabad.

According to the police, Chittipaka Srikanth married his loved one four years ago. But his in-laws opposed the marriage, threatened him and separated Srikanth from his wife. A depressed Srikanth doused himself with petrol and immolated himself. A severely injured Srikanth was shifted to Osmania hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. The police reached the spot, filed a case and started probing the matter. Srikanth's family claims that he was being harassed by the girl's father and was implicated in false complaints since her father belongs to the police department. They also alleged that being a Dalit, Srikanth was cornered.
