Lesbian Lover Faces Acid Attack After Breakup

Agra: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly attacked with acid in Karbala colony, Firozabad. Police arrested her 19-year-old lesbian lover on Sunday for the crime. The victim was seriously injured and sustained severe burn injuries on her arms and chest. She was admitted to a private hospital in Agra and her condition is said to be critical.

According to the police, the incident happened around 2.30 am here on Thursday under the limits of Dakshin Police station. Based on the complaint lodged by the girl's father, police filed a case against the victim's former classmate Avinash under the IPC sections 326 and 452.

However, further probe revealed that the attack was committed by her lesbian lover who happens to be a daughter of the victim's landlord. During the interrogation, the suspect said that she was upset after the victim broke off relationship with her and she threw acid on her in a fit of rage.

Firozabad Superintendent of police, Rajesh Kumar Singh said, "The victim ended her relationship with the accused two months ago and she decided to take revenge on her by pouring acid and framed Avinash.

Lokender Singh, Station house officer of Dakshin police station said, "The victim and Avinash knew each other for a long time since they were classmates. Earlier, the girl's father alleged that he harassed her and forced her to love him. We have filed a case against the accused girl under the IPC sections of 326, 354 D, and 506. Both the suspects were sent to jail."
