Police Raids Continue At Yadagirigutta To Curb Girl Trafficking
Hyderabad: The Telangana police continue to arrest the people who run the brothel houses and involved in girl child trafficking in Yadagirigutta. On Monday, the police held raid in different areas of Yadagirigutta and arrested a person who was involved in the cases of trafficking girl children. The police rescued two children from the clutches of suspects.
One of the suspects was identified as Kamsani Jyothi. "They target the poor and homeless girls from different places. Most of the times, they get girls from a mediator named K Shanker for a price of Rs 40,000 per girl," the police said.
As of now, 25 suspects have been arrested in the brothel house and child trafficking cases in which three of them are facing PD act. During the operation, 26 victims have been rescued and sent to rescue homes. Seven brothel houses were seized on the orders of RDO and the remaining houses will be seized soon after receiving the orders from the RDO, the police added.
