Three Held For Blackmailing Man With Daughter’s Morphed Photos In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Three people, who allegedly tried to extort money from a man by blackmailing him with his daughter's morphed photos, were arrested here, police said today.

The man, a resident of Himayat Nagar here, complained that he received a call on August 9 and the caller had demanded Rs five crore, saying he was in possession of some personal photographs of his daughter and that he would upload them on social media, a police release said.

A trap was laid and the complainant was asked to accede to their demand of rs one crore, it said, adding the accused wanted Rs 20 lakh as initial amount.

When they came to collect the amount, they were arrested.

They had come on two motorcycles which were seized along with three cell phones, the release said.
