Karimnagar Man Shoots Pregnant Wife Suspecting Adultery

A Karimnagar man fired two rounds of bullets at his pregnant wife suspecting her of committing adultery. The incident has been reported from Timmapur mandal, Ramakrishna colony. According to preliminary reports, the couple had been quarreling over the same issue for the last one week. After another fight broke out last night, the husband (Kanakaiah) opened fire at his wife (Swapna) who's four months pregnant. While she escaped the first shot, the second one hit her in the thighs injuring her severely.

Locals who heard the sound alerted the police who rushed to the spot.

The woman was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors said her condition is said to be critical. The police has recovered the gun from the crime scene. It is learnt that the man had recently purchased a gun from Nepal during his visit. The couple has two kids. The woman is being treated at the hospital. Kanakaiah is now absconding and police are on the lookout to nab him.

Locals also said that Kanakaiah had been harassing her for dowry.
