Malkajgiri Man Kills Wife For Forcing Him To Visit Daughter

Hyderabad: A woman was bludgeoned to death by her husband in Malkajgiri after she repeatedly forced him to visit their daughter.

According to police inspecter Komaraiah, Lakshmi alias Chantamma (55) and Venkataramana were native of Chelluru village in East Godavari district. To earn their living, the couple moved to the city where Venkataramana got a job as a watchman in Gautham Nagar. The couple has a handicapped daughter Sridevi who is staying in their hometown.

As Sridevi was unwell from the past few days, Chantamma asked Venkataramana to accompany her to visit their daughter but the latter ignored her plea. Fed up with the arguments over the issue, the accused hit his wife on the head with a motor after which she died on the spot.

Based on a complaint lodged by the victim's sister Bujjamma, the police registered a case and took Venkataramana into custody.
