Angry Man Sets Wife’s Parents House On Fire in Nirmal

A man set his in-laws house on fire after they refused to send their daughter with him. No casualties were reported in the incident. Along with his in-laws, the man's wife and children who were in the house sustained injuries.

Going into the details, Rolla Maruthi of Muktadevigalli of Mudhole mandal got married to Bhagyalakshmi 12 years ago. The couple has two sons— Eshwar and Mallesh. Meanwhile, Maruthi got addicted to alcohol and started harassing his wife repeatedly. Fed up with her husband's torture, Bhagyalakshmi had gone to her parents house and had been living with them for a long time.

On Wednesday, Maruthi went to his in-laws' place and picked up a quarrel with his wife and went away. Later, he again returned to the house and set it on fire.

On hearing their screams, locals rescued them and informed the police. The victims who were shifted to a nearby hospital are undergoing treatment. Maruthi too who sustained injuries is being treated at Mudhole hospital.

Based on the complaint of Bhagyalakshimi, the police has registered a case against Maruthi.
