How MS Dhoni Guides Bowlers To Find Their Mark
Former captain and Team India wicketkeeper The ODI series between India and New Zealand is throwing up more instances of how Mahendra Singh Dhoni constantly encourages and advises bowlers from behind the stumps.
In a video clip which has gone viral, Dhoni is seen first telling spinner Kuldeep to stay behind and shouts "nahin, nahin" (no, no) when he bowls a short delivery and is pulled for four.
MSD shouts to spinner Kuldeep Yadav in Hindi, to bowl from further behind ("peeche se daal"). The batsman, New Zealand's Ferguson leans forward and Dhoni has the bails off in a flash.
The Team India wicketkeeper shouts to Kuldeep to bowl around the wicket and keep the ball on the middle stump, saying the New Zealand quickie, Boult would defend blindly ("aankh band kar ke rokega"). Sure enough, Boult leans into the incoming ball bowled from around the stumps which finds the outside edge of the bat. The catch is held at first slip, ending the Kiwis' innings.
